To provide world-class education that meets international standards, complete with spiritual and moral values in a secure and rich environment to all children regardless of the gender, race, tribe or religion.

At IHSL, we have an innovative approach to learning which we call Positive Behavior for Learning (PBL) which is an evidence-based whole school systems approach that:

  • Addresses the diverse academic and social needs of every student to support them to be successful
  • Is team driven, using a problem-solving approach (data, systems and practices) that engages students, parents and all school staff
  • Establishes positive social expectations for all in the school community
  • Provides a framework for the school and its community to collectively support the well being of every student


Our goal as a school through all this is to ensure that students;

  • Exhibit high self-esteem as learners and individuals
  • Be self-directed as learners and responsible members of the community
  • Achieve academically through the development of thinking, appraisal and understanding skills
  • Generalise learning and knowledge to a wide variety of contexts
  • Demonstrate concern for the environment, self and others
  • Establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships
  • Lead a healthy lifestyle
  • Demonstrate teamwork skills and attitudes

When implemented well;

  • Student respond positively as they have been taught what is expected of them
  • Staff deliver consistent response to student learning and behaviour
  • Students feel safe and cared for at school. Their parents, family and community are more involved in their school
  • Unproductive and challenging behaviour can be significantly reduced for most students
  • Fosters a strong school spirit
  • Encouraging students to reach their full potential
